Cozy up with an ebook

Westin likes sharing his ebooks with Webb. Today's morning story was The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. Most toddler ebooks have a read to me feature with manual page turning, which creates instant shareability for a three year old. Sharing a good story can feel pretty good. And immediately following, Webber checked his E*TRADE account...his smile says "markets up!".

Birds of a feather

This morning we had a a mixed flock of birds in our front yard. We have old mature trees which attract many birds but this morning was unique to us. The flock featured northern flickers (see photos), nuthatches, bluejays, doves, and chickadees. A northern flicker is a type of woodpecker, and we had over a dozen of them in our yard with many more in neighbors's trees as well. It was very exciting to see this many woodpeckers gathered at once. Westin was amazed and extremely excited to be a part of their morning too.....although, he kept calling the woodpeckers,'backpacks'....:)

Happy Birthday, Dada!!!!!

Today is Dalen's/Dada's birthday. It's been a lovely day so far with lots of cuddles from the littlest Moore.

We also celebrated by going to Red's for lunch! YUMMY!!!!!

Everyone had a great meal. And Westin entertained everyone by singing 'Happy Birthday'.
He even got Dada a birthday sundae....well, it was originally Dada's.

The cake is a 'Cake by Monica' called Butter pecan delight....it is delightful! It tastes like a butter pecan praline and it's the birthday boy's favorite.

Dalen wants to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who remembered him on his birthday. It has been a very special day and y'all have made him feel so loved!!!

The Treehouse

This morning we started the day in the treehouse aka the attic. Fun was had by all. Here are a few of the moments from this mornings playtime.

Snow Pterodactyls

We finally received some snow! Time to bundle up and play! The snow is too light and fluffy for snowman making, but perfect for making snow pterodactyls. Similar to snow angels, but in the mind of a three year old boy,much more capable and exciting. We also took copperdog for a nice long walk and are currently sipping on some hot chocolate. Enjoy your weekend!

So many choices....

Each morning Westin loves to pick out his shirt. After today's morning bath he chose a new shirt, which he had been eying for weeks now. He received this new shirt from his grandpa and grandma Moore who purchased the shirt while on a recent cruise to the amazon jungle. The tracks on the shirt are jaguar tracks (the jaguar is the largest feline in the western hemisphere) which is a new animal to Westin's plethora of wildlife knowledge and vocabulary. We never know what grandpa and grandma Moore are up to, where they are or going next, but we sure thank you for thinking of us while exploring your many adventures.
