Is it Selection Sunday already?!

Hello everyone! What a crazy week. First off, Dalen and I owe a BIG THANK YOU to Pops and D who helped us out tremendously with the house. What started as a seriously daunting task of getting the house ready to put on the market is now quite doable. There were heroic efforts in staining the front porch and back step, and in the kitchen...basically almost everywhere! As long as Dalen and I don't lose momentum-which considering the source of our distraction, none other than the cutest little Bean in the world-then we should be on the market within a week. We (including Copper who got more pets and walks than he knew what to do with) truly enjoyed Pops and D's visit-and it was very exciting for them to get to meet West.

This was another big week for our Bean! He is starting to coordinate feet and hand movement. For example, on his bouncy chair he has some spiders hanging down, so he is using his feet to pin the spiders and then grabbing them with his hands. He is very active in his ExerSaucer. He is also starting to sleep (very reluctantly) in his crib. Why? Well, as it turns out the Bean is starting to show his Houdini-like capabilities. Friday night he was put to bed in his swing as per usual. I heard a little noise from his room, not accompanied by cries or anything. But I happened to get up and check on him and much to my dismay, my beautiful baby boy was NOT in his swing but hanging out on the ground, sucking on his fist and playing with Albus. As the Mom telling this story, this turn of events was NOT OKAY. After talking to many other parents, including my own, their take was, 'eh, it happens'. Still from my perspective, it is NOT OKAY and very scary. Thankfully, Dalen talked me off of a ledge and helped me realize that I was way more traumatized by this than West ever was. Dalen reminded me of how he would climb out of his crib at a freakishly young age and how West likely will have the same skills. Keep in mind, West was perfectly content, no bruises, no crying (well I cried after we put him to bed, but that doesn't count). One question remains, how in the heck did he do it?? It makes having a nanny cam in the room that much more appealing. Well, if you hear of this crazed woman in South Dakota that wraps her son in foam and makes him wear a helmet every time he goes outside, I am going to preemptively plead the fifth. Thanks for all of your patience with my slow blog posts. Life is a little hectic and crazy right now. We truly have our hands full. Hopefully, I will be able to take a couple of extra minutes this week to be a better blogger. Of course, with the need to get my brackets in order for the Big Dance, this is a tall order. It was exciting to watch the Mountaineers masterfully take the Big East title from Georgetown last night. If our couch was not in storage, Dalen and I probably would have dragged it on the front lawn and set it on fire..Ha Ha. If the 'Eers manage to give Butler opportunities at the end of games-we might make it far in the Tourney. Game on!
