September started with a gloriously hot day...only one thing to do: SWIM! Happily, we now have a functional pool and Dalen decided that the water was finally warm enough for Westin to swim. The water is cold up here, folks-and the pool has only been fixed since the beginning of August-which has been wonderfully mild, and consequently not good for warming up cold pool water. I was happy that a got a text at work, showing something like this:

Ah, summer, so long old friend. Labor Day is here and we woke up to temps in the upper 40's. This is my favorite weather, so don't be sad. Also College Football is back!!! Despite the heart stopper on Saturday with Auburn barely scraping by Utah State-the first Saturday of college football was not dull. I have a feeling that nothing about this season is going to be dull, and I couldn't be more excited! War Eagle!
Now, I will leave you guys with a question: how do you eat Cheerios at your house. This is how West decided to eat his 'Oh's', also called, "ooze" the other day:

ok...I just posted lamenting our chilly weather today but I am grateful it's as cold as where you are. Westin is such a cutie! He just wanted to be like the dog. Are you teaching this fall?
ReplyDeleteLove it!! We don't go to the beach for 3 more weeks, so here's hoping OUR weather stays warm that long. Love the pool and the Oh's. Kate wants to eat like a dog too.. we talk about how un-lady-like that is on a pretty regular basis. :)
ReplyDeleteHi guys!
ReplyDeleteI'm only teaching two lectures. One on bacterial STI's to 2nd year med students and a chlamydia lecture in a bacterial pathogenesis course for grad students. Not too bad! The chilliness has wreaked havoc with the chlorine in the pool-it's supposed to warm up, so hopefully we can swim again!
It was actually pretty random that he started eating like Copper. These days it's like new techniques all the time, and he hasn't done it since. We just get excited when he eats!
